STARTING THE MOTOR SWEEPER
Starting the engine
!
Caution!
Make sure that the main and side brushes are raised off the fl oor before starting the engine (see levers 8 and
11, fi g. 3)
•
Move the accelerator lever 7 (fi g. 3) to 3/4 of its stroke.
•
Insert the starter key 14.
•
Turn it clockwise up to the notch (position II).
•
Release the key as soon as the engine starts.
Starting work
•
Disengage the parking brake by pressing on lever 3 (fi g. 3) and release its lever.
•
To go forwards, press on the front of pedal 1 (fi g. 3).
•
To reverse, press on the back of the pedal.
The motor sweeper brakes automatically when pedal 1 is in the neutral position.
The levers 4,5,6 must be in central position (fi g. 3).
Switching off the engine
•
Reduce the engine speed with the accelerator pedal 7 (fi g. 3).
• Switch
off the key 14 by turning it to the “0” position (fi g. 3).
•
Put on the parking brake 3 (fi g. 3) and lock it using the relevant brake lever.
REGULATIONS TO BE FOLLOWED DURING OPERATION
!
Caution!
•
Never sweep up ropes, wire, straps, water, etc.
•
To pick up large but light objects (such as paper, leaves, etc.), push down on the pedal 2 (fi g.3) to raise
the front fl ap of the machine slightly for just the time necessary to sweep the objects up.
•
Shake the fi lters from time to time by turning button 15 (Fig. 3) to position B.
•
If the ground to be swept is wet, shut off the fan suction using the switch 15 (Fig. 3) pos.A, as otherwise
the suction fi lter may be clogged.
•
Never pick up glowing cigarette ends or red hot material.
•
Do not allow outsiders to approach the machine, especially children.
•
The machine must only be used by operators authorised by the person in charge of the machine, who
are familiar with the contents of this manual.
•
These operators must be physically and mentally suitable, and must not be under the infl uence of al-
cohol, drugs or medication.
Make sure that:
•
There are no foreign bodies (such as tools, rags, equipment, etc.) on the machine.
•
The machine does not make strange noises after switch-on; in this case, stop it immediately and trace
the cause.
•
All safety housings are properly closed.
Maintenance regulations
During cleaning and maintenance of the machine or the replacement of parts, always switch off the motor.
Do not use naked fl ames, do not cause sparks and do not smoke close to the fuel tank when the fi ller cap is open.
Note!
All maintenance, overhaul or repair work must only be carried out by specialised staff or an authorised ser-
vice centre.
