Appendix G: Software license
SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAYMARINE LIMITED
(“LICENSOR”) AND YOU (“LICENSEE”).
YOU MUST READ AND ACCEPT ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT BELOW
BEFORE YOU ARE ENTITLED TO USE THE MODULES OF THE RAYMARINE H6
NAVIGATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM THAT YOU HAVE DECIDED TO PURCHASE
(THE “PRODUCT”) AND ITS ASSOCIATED “RAYTECH” SOFTWARE, MANUALS, AND
DOCUMENTATION (THE “SOFTWARE”). BY ENTERING INTO THIS AGREEMENT USING
THE PRODUCT AND/OR DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE, YOU AGREE TO BECOME THE
LICENSEE TO THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT AND CONSENT TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF ITS
TERMS.
By entering into this Agreement and/or downloading the Software the Licensor grants
you (the “Licensee”) a non-exclusive, non-transferable limited license to use the Product
and the Software, strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions of this License
Agreement. Licensee may not copy or transfer the Software from one computer to
another nor use the Software over a network.
Licensee may only use the Software in conjunction with the Product.
Licensee is not permitted (save to the extent allowed by law) to copy the Software
otherwise than for use of the Product for normal operation in accordance with this
License Agreement and other relevant documentation. Licensee shall not (save as to the
extent allowed by law or specifically agreed to by Licensor) disassemble, decompile or
reverse engineer the Software, nor translate, adapt, modify, lease, rent, loan,
redistribute, sub-lease, sub-license or create derivative works from the Software.
THE PRODUCT AND THE SOFTWARE ARE PROVIDED SUBJECT TO THE WARRANTIES
CONTAINED IN THE SPECIFIED WARRANTY DOCUMENTATION BUT ARE OTHERWISE
PROVIDED.‘AS IS’ WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND EITHER EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
SATISFACTORY QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
IN PARTICULAR LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-
FREE OR THAT SUCH ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED AND LICENSEE IS SOLELY
RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS AND EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH RECTIFICATION,
REPAIR OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY SUCH ERRORS. Any new releases or upgrades to the
Software made available by Licensee which may correct such errors may be made
