Compatibility

The modem is compatible with modems that comply with the CCITT
V-series specifications and ITU modulation modes, including the Tele-
netics and Motorola 326X Series, V.3400 Series, and “M” Series 
modems.

326X Leased-Line Operation Note

For optimum performance between a 3460 and a 326X in V.34 mode 
over a leased line, Telenetics recommends the following configuration:

• Set the 3460 to V.34 Only modulation mode (AT*MM parameter)

• Set the 326X modulation mode to:

— V.34 Auto if it is set to Originate

— V.34 Only if it is set to Answer

• Set the maximum modem (DCE) rate (AT*MX parameter) to 31.2 

on at least one modem.
