TRANSMISSION CLUTCH (Fig.23 & 24)
The transmission clutch should be disengaged before
any adjustments are made. Adjustments can be
made at either the clutch lever on the handles or the
abutment bracket on the top deck.
To adjust:
1.
Release the locknut (A) on the adjuster
at the end of the cable.
2.
Screw the adjuster (A Fig.23) until the spring
length is 225mm. The hand lever can be
adjusted (A Fig.24) to be retained by the OPC
lever.
3.
When the correct adjustments has been
made retighten the locknuts.
LANDROLL / CYLINDER DRIVE BELT (A Fig.25)
The tension on the belt is correct when the belt can
be depressed 6mm (0.23in) under a load of 7kgf
(15.5lbs) midway between the two pulley's.
To adjust:
a.
Release the two bolts holding the jockey pulley
bracket and adjust until the tension is correct.
b.
Retighten the bolts securely after adjusting.
LANDROLL DRIVE BELT (A Fig.26)
The tension on the belt is correct when the belt can
be depressed 6mm (0.23in) under a load of 7kgf
(15.5lbs) midway between the two pulley's.
To adjust:
a.
Release the two bolts holding the jockey pulley
bracket and adjust until the tension is correct.
b.
Retighten the bolts securely after adjusting.
CYLINDER DRIVE BELT (B Fig.26)
This belt has an automatic belt tensioner and no
adjustment is necessary.
NOTE: Ensure the spring loaded adjuster is free
to load the belt by means of its spring. If the
adjuster becomes stiff, dismantle and lubricate as
detailed in the lubrication section.
