10-9 Battery Long Term Storage
1. When the motor is out of the water, being transported, or in storage,
always detach the battery cable to prevent accidental starting of the
engine. Accidental starting when the motor is out of the water will
cause water pump failure, overheating and damage to the engine
due to a lack of cooling water.
2. DO NOT disconnect the electrical harness when operating the
motor. The Raider may continue to run and can be started with the
electrical harness disconnected. Remove all spark plug connectors
from the spark plugs when servicing the engine or propeller.
