CAUTION:
Before proceeding to connect the top link, make
sure the space between the implement yoke and
WKHORZHUDUPVRIWKHWUDFWRULVVXI¿FLHQWVRWKDW
there is no possibility of contact between the raised
position and the working position. A second check
PXVWEHSHUIRUPHGLQWKH¿HOGZKHQWKHLPSOHPHQW
is under actual working conditions.
IMPORTANT:
If the coupling head is not horizontal, adjust it with
the turnover cylinder. This will facilitate the hitching
procedure.
5.1.3
Releasing the latch
CAUTION:
A safety bolt will fail when raising the yoke if the
latch is forgotten.
IMPORTANT:
Never stand in front of or in the vicinity of this bolt
during hitching. The material ejected as a result of
bolt failure could cause serious injury.

The headstocks of all semi-mounted ploughs are held by a
latch in the unhitched position.
ʈ
Once the lower link arms are properly hitched, raise the
headstock with the tractor lifting mechanism to release the
latch.
ʈ
Once the latch is free in its hole, lift it and secure it i the up
position (remove the spring pin then the pin, lift the latch,

Attach the top link.
5.1.4
Hitching the top link
Once the lower tractor arms are hitched and the latch is released,
connect the top link.
Raise the implement and make sure there is no collision with the
tractor.
Place the support legs in working position.
IMPORTANT:
Check that the space between the implement yoke
DQGWKHWUDFWRUWRSOLQNLVVXI¿FLHQWWRSUHYHQWDQ\
contact between the raised position and the working
position. Perform a second check at the workplace
¿HOGZKHQWKHLPSOHPHQWLVXQGHUDFWXDOZRUNLQJ
conditions.
