Fuse calculations for IEC
are done according to 60364-4-43 low-voltage electrical installations, part 4-43:
protection against overcurrent. Fuse sizes are calculated in order to protect the cable against short circuit.
Fuse type aM is recommended for fixed speed units. Fuse type gL/gG is also allowed and mandatory for
variable speed units.
Fuse calculations for cUL and UL
: The indicated fuse size is the maximum fuse size in order to protect
the motor against short circuit. For cUL fuse HRC form II, for UL fuse class RK5.
