If PiXtend V2 -L- is to be used in a
control box

control cabinet
or
laboratory set-up
, a
DIN rail power supply
is suitable for the voltage supply. In this type of power supply, the
mains voltage must usually be connected or wired.
Warning!
Therefore, be sure to observe the manufacturer's safety and
connection instructions. Work on the power supply (115/230 V AC) are
only permitted by authorized personnel!
The following figure shows a 60 W DIN rail power supply, which can be used for PiXtend
V2 -L-:
Figure 41 shows in addition to the regular connection of the supply voltage to "VCC" and
"GND" also a bridge from "VCC" to the three "VCC DO" connections. This supplies the 12
digital outputs of PiXtend with a common power supply. It is not necessary to bridge the
GND connections, as all GND connections on the PCB are connected to each other.
