5. The boiling, chilled and sparkling supply must

have the venturi T included

(see diagram below)

. The

venturi T requires a type AA drain connection in

accordance with your local plumbing code.

Take feeds from the thermostatic mixing valve,

which is fed by the mains hot and cold feeds.

Connect the john guest 1/2” (12.7mm) to 3/8”

(9.52mm) reducer from the installation kit to

the temperature-controlled outlet port.

This is where you will set your hand-hot tem-

perature and flow rate to the system. We rec-

ommend adding adjustable valves before the

thermostatic valve; this will allow for flow rate

adjustment. (this will maintain the temperature

at or below 111.2°F/44°C).

Using the 3/8” (9.52mm) blue pipe enclosed

cut length to feed the hot mains water inlet on

the left side of the QT553 module.

As part of this installation, you will also install a

separate cold water supply with a 1/2” (12.7mm)

isolation valve. This will control the cold wa-

ter mains feed to the left and the smaller 1/4”

(6.35mm) cold feed into the front right-hand

side of the QT553.

Connect a john guest 1/2”-3/8”(12-9.52mm)

reducer to

this cold isolation valve and run the length of

blue 3/8” (9.52mm) PE pipe ready for connec-

tion to the cold mains water inlet alongside the

hot water inlet.

STEP 2

The QT553 module on the right-hand side of

the cupboard connects the thermostatic hot

and the cold water supply connections as per

previous step (step 1).

Once you have connected the feed from the

thermostatic mixing valve to the QT553 unit,

turn both the hot and the cold services until

50% open.

These connections feed a robust, one-piece

manifold. While a watertight seal should be in-

stantly achieved with the push fittings, it’s im-

portant to observe and listen for any water es-

caping.

Now connect the cold water feed to the right-

hand side of the QT553 using the 1/4” (6.35mm)

PE pipe provided. The speed fitting will make a

watertight seal when the pipe is pushed firmly

into the port labeled PURE INLET.

Note

that this can be fed by a purifier or mains

cold water.

Ventilation will ensure your chiller performs to

its specification

Failure to install this will void

the warranty on this module.

The Quatreau chiller carbonator is sited next to

the QT553. Usually, this will be to the left of the

QT553 use the 1/4”PE pipe provided to inter-

connect the QT553 and CS20 units as follows.

• From the QT553 to the CS20

• H2O OUT to WATER IN

• CO² OUT to CO² GAS IN

• CARB IN to SODA WATER OUT

• CHILLED IN to STILL WATER OUT

Ensure that you leave a 1” (25.4mm) gap around

the sides of the chiller unit. This enables ventila-

tion and air movement, without which the sys-

tem will not chill correctly.

If using a purifier to feed the system, ensure it

has been commissioned with a 3bar/50psi re-

act switch before connection. You will use sev-

eral liters of water to commission the Quatreau

system, so it is sensible to commission with

mains water first, then convert to pure once

the system has been purged.

Before installation of the chiller unit, refer to

the cutting template enclosed with the chiller. A

ventilation hole is cut in the cupboard base, and

the vent pipe runs to and cut into the kickboard

using the ventilation grill.

See Pre-Installation specification for more in-

formation.
