Unpacking the DXi6900-S Array Module or Expansion Module
Depending on the configuration, 1–2 Array Modules (RBODs) and 0–6 Expansion Modules (EBODs) ship in
separate boxes along with the rest of the system (see DXi6900-S Installation Overview
).
Caution:
Make sure to retain all packing materials, as well as the documentation and other items
included in the shipping box. The packaging materials
must
be used if the system is relocated.
WARNING:
The DXi6900-S Array module and Expansion module (including hard drives) weigh 57
pounds (25.9 kg) and 55 pounds (24.9 kg) respectively. A minimum of two people are required to lift the
chassis.
The box containing the DXi6900-S Array module (RBOD) or Expansion module (EBOD) contains the
following items:

Rack mount rails
o
Screws and spacers
l
Accessory kit, which includes the following:
o
C13 to C14 power cord (2)
o
North American power cord (2)
o
2m mini-SAS HD to mini-SAS HD interconnect cable (4)
o
(Expansion Module) 1m mini-SAS interconnect cable (2)
o
End cap set
o
Anti-static wrist band
Carefully unpack and remove the components from the packing materials (see Figure 3 on the next page).
