i) Install a hose bib.

Install a “T” fitting and a hose bib on the OUTLET side of the carbon filter.

Note:
This will be used to initially clean out any carbon dust from
your carbon filter tank prior to the water entering your water
softener.
Note:
Once the water softener is set up, then plumb the OUTLET side of the carbon
filter to the INLET side of the water softener valve as instructed later.
