Removing / Installing Cache-to-Flash Module
The Cache-to-Flash module is a combination of a flash memory and a power module for write-
back data protection in the event of a sudden and unexpected power loss. For more
information about the Cache-to-Flash memory protection, please refer to the chapter 2.5,
Cache-to-Flash Memory Protection
CAUTION
The module is sophisticated and contains batteries, please do not
disassemble it yourself to avoid danger.
Navigate to the XEVO UI ->
System
->
Arrays
and move over to the cache-to-flash module. If the
status shows
Failed
, that means the cache-to-flash module is not
functioning correctly and can’t
provide real time data protection anymore. You may need to replace the
cache-to-flash module
to ensure continued protection.

Removing the Cache-to-Flash Module
The following content and image are detail steps of removing the cache-to-flash module.
1.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the thumb screw near the bottom of the cache-to-flash
module.
2.
Pull up the release lever and then pull out.
