The XCubeDAS can be connected in tree topology to reduce the latency.

The following figure shows an example of a dual controller XF2026 connected to two dual
controller XCubeDAS XD5300 series using mini SAS HD to mini SAS HD cable (SAS 12G expansion
cable with Wake-on-SAS, SFF-8644 to SFF-8644).
