5.7 Assembly
It is recommended that the mounting plate (1) of the optional
HM9 mounting bracket be secured to a stable structure, using
minimum 2x M10 screws. In order to fix the DLU, loosen the M5
screws (2) on the sensor and remove them. Now fix the DLU
sensor by means of the M5x15 threaded bolt and screws M5 on
the mounting bracket HM9.
If HM9 is used together with the additional adjustable mounting
bracket HM7, then secure the bracket HM9 as described in
picture “mounting bracket” on the HM7 and fix this through its
mounting plate (3) on a stable structure using at least two M12
screws. In order to mount the DLU, loosen the M5 screws (2) on
the sensor and remove them. Now fix the DLU sensor by
means of the M5x15 threaded bolt and screws M5 on the
mounting bracket HM9.
5.8 Alignment
By loosening the screws, it is possible to slide the sensor and/or the mounting bracket. After the ideal
mounting position has been found, tighten up the screws to secure the DLU sensor and the mounting
bracket firmly.
5.1 Can dimension
In function 8.1.1 Can presence detection can diameter of 53 - 86 mm is necessary for can detection. In
all other functions no min/max diameter is required.
5.2 Connecting cable
Lay the connecting cable so that the minimum bending radius

is equaled or exceeded and the
maximum permissible ambient temperature is not exceeded.
