For NAS Client networks working on a 1G LAN, it is recommended to use two switches to physically separate
the Management link form the NAS Client link. If two switches are available for separating the NAS Client
network and Management link, follow the instructions below to setup cabling.
1G NAS Client network: two-switch solution
Follow the directions below to establish the NAS Client link according to the Link Aggregation option you
intend to use. Use Category 6 or better Ethernet cables.
• Link Aggregation Option 3:
Connect 1G LAN ports 3 and 4 on all G1000 devices to the 1G switch used
for the NAS Client network. See illustration
• Link Aggregation Option 4:
Connect 1G LAN ports 2, 3 and 4 on all G1000 devices to the 1G switch
used for the NAS Client network.
