If a single Ethernet switch is used for the 1G NAS Client link and the Management link, it is important to first
create two VLANs to segment broadcast domains so there is a separate VLAN for the Management link and
another VLAN for the NAS Client network. Follow the instructions in user documentation for the 1G Ethernet
switch to create these VLANs, then proceed to connect the cables.
If your VTrak A-Class is also used for Fibre Channel SAN clients, the Management link for these clients
should also be placed in the same VLAN with the VTrak A-Class head unit.
Important
The NAS Client and Management link to the VTrak A-Class should be
separated logically or physically, so they placed are in different broadcast
domains. If a single 1G switch is used, the switch must be configured to
create the separation logically. The best way to achieve this is to create one
VLAN for the Management network, and another VLAN for the NAS Client
network.
