Children must not play with the thermometer, it contains small parts (batteries and battery
cover) which may lead to suffocation if swallowed.
• Only use the thermometer for applications as described in this manual.
•
Operation in the vicinity of strong electromagnetic fields, such as next to a mobile phone,
may result in malfunctions.
•
In the event of abnormal temperature results, please contact your GP immediately.
•
This thermometer is not intended for use by persons (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or lack of knowledge
unless they have been given instruction concerning how the thermometer should be used
by a person responsible for their safety.
•
Do not allow children to play with the packing material as there is a risk of suffocation.
• Cleaning and maintenance work may not be carried out by children except with
supervision.
•
This thermometer may not be immersed in water or other liquids.
•
For cleaning and storage, please read the information in the operating instructions
carefully.
•
Only store the thermometer in a clean and dry place. Keep out of direct sunlight. The
storage temperature should be between -20 °C (-4 °F) and 55 °C (131 °F).
•
Please do not use the thermometer if the sensor head or the device is damaged.
•
Do not attempt to repair the device yourself if it is damaged.
•
This non-contact thermometer consists of high quality precision parts. Do not drop the
device and protect it against sharp impacts and shocks.
•
Please do not turn the measuring head and do not attempt to remove it.
•
Batteries must be properly disposed of and kept away from small children and heat.
Warning!
The use of the non-contact thermometer cannot replace a doctor’s appointment.
Before initial commissioning, please insert the batteries. To do this, please proceed as
described under “Changing the batteries”.

First, select the desired measuring mode by moving the measuring mode switch
(F)
to
the appropriate position (up to measure the body temperature and down to measure an
object temperature).

Now press the on/off button

and all symbols on the display

are shown. Next, the
last measurement value and MEMORY are automatically displayed for two seconds.
C.
The thermometer now indicates that it is ready for a measurement by: - sounding of a
short beep - the unit of measurement (°C/°F) selected flashes.
