Connecting the Thermostat to the Local Network
This section describes how to connect your NT10e or NT20e Network Thermostat to
your local data network. This connection enables you to conveniently and efficiently
configure your thermostat using a browser on your laptop or desktop personal
computer. If a broadband connection is available on your local network, you can also
remotely manage and configure your thermostat via the Internet.
To connect the thermostat to your local network:
1
Using a standard patch cable, complete the connection of your thermostat(s) to the
local switch or router. Your thermostat(s) should automatically communicate with the
local DHCP server and be assigned a unique IP address.
