Functions and Controls
• Use the button to switch the device on and off.
• Use the button to select a program
• The operating times can be adjusted via the control knob.
• Use the button to start the programs.
• By using the button you can interrupt a program for a
maximum of 10 minutes. When preparing the ice cream,
the compressor will continue cooling for 3 minutes. Press
the button again to continue the program. If you do not
resume the program within 10 minutes, you will hear 5
beeps. The appliance switches to standby mode.
• Press the button, if you wish to cancel a program.
• When canceling the programs or or the after-cooling
function by using the
button, wait at least 5 minutes
before switching the appliance on again so that the pres-
sure in the refrigerant circuit can be released.
Operating Time
• The preparation time of ice cream or yogurt varies. It
depends on:
- recipe,
- the temperature of the mixture,
- ambient temperature,
- desired consistency.
• Do not leave the device unattended during use.
Constantly check the consistency of the mixture while
preparing the ice cream.
• The ice cream mixture must not be too liquid or too
viscous.
• When making yogurt, allow the milk mixture to ripen in
the appliance for at least 8 hours. The taste becomes
stronger the longer the ripening of the yogurt progresses.
Protection Features during Ice Cream Preparation
•
If the stirrer stops during operation due to solidification of
the ice cream, the motor will be blocked.
1. Switch off the device immediately and disconnect the
mains plug.
2. Remove the ice cream.
• You can start another ice cream program immediately
after the previous program has finished. For safety
reasons though, the compressor will only turn on after
approx. 5 minutes.
• If you have prepared several ice cream batches in
sequence, the overheat protection might get triggered.
In such a case, the compressor will not turn on. Let the
device cool down for approx. 30 minutes before starting
again.
Preparation for Making Ice Cream
NOTE:
•
Use ingredients that are of 6 - 8 °C fridge temperature.
•
The ingredients must not be frozen; otherwise the
motor could get blocked.
1. Place the ice cream container in the recess of the base.
2. Place the stirrer on the shaft in the ice cream container.
3. Fill the ice cream container with the desired ingredients.
CAUTION:
Do not fill the ice cream container with ingredients of
more than 900 ml!
• When making ice cream with fruits, only use soft,
seedless fruits and pulp (puree) them beforehand.
You can also add fruit juice.
• When making ice cream with solid pieces of fruits,
nuts, brittle, or with alcohol, wait towards the end of
the cooling time before adding such ingredients.
NOTE:
•
Alcohol impedes the freezing operation.
•
Add the puréed fruits and / or alcohol through the
fill opening.
Preparation for Making Yogurt
NOTE:
You need pasteurized milk (H-milk) and natural yoghurt at
a mixing ratio of 100 ml : 15 ml.
1. Select the location so that the appliance does not have
to be moved during the yoghurt preparation and is not
subject to vibrations. Otherwise, the yoghurt remains
liquid.
2.
Heat the H-milk in a pot to ca. 45 °C and blend in the
natural yoghurt or the yoghurt culture. If you would like
to use fresh milk, boil this beforehand and allow it to cool
down to approx. 45 °C.
3. Place the container into the recess of the base unit
without stirring tool.
4. Fill the already heated mixture into the container.
CAUTION:
Do not fill more than 1300 ml into the container!
•
In case you want to refine the yogurt with fruits, nuts,
marmalade or similar, add these ingredients only
after preparation.
