Put the oil or the fat in a container. Dispose

Clean the pan with a soft, damp cloth and

Fill the pan with fresh oil or fat just before

U.K. Wiring instructions
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE
NEUTRAL
BROWN
LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW
EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals on
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW
must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E or (
) and is
coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp
(BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other
type of plug is used, a 13Amp fuse must be
fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the
distribution board.

Assemble the appliance.

Wind the mains cable around the lugs at

the back of the appliance (fig. G).
Store the appliance in a dry and frostfree
•
place, out of the reach of children.
Refreshing oil or fat
The oil or the fat must be refreshed regularly.
The useful life of the oil or the fat depends on
the frequency of use, the length of use, the
temperature during use, the quantity of food,
the nature of the food (e.g. spices used) and
the degree of cleaning of the oil or the fat.
During the deepfrying process, food
remnants, breadcrumbs and pieces of batter
that have fallen into the oil or the fat must be
removed. After the deepfrying process, the oil
or the fat must be filtered:
Allow the oil or the fat to cool down.
•
Drain the basket and remove the basket
•
from the pan.
Put kitchen paper into the basket.
•
Filter the oil or the fat through the basket
•
into a bowl of similar size.
To refresh oil or fat:
Remove the lid and the basket from the
•
appliance.
