STARTING THE ENGINE / STOPPING THE ENGINE
STARTING THE ENGINE
1. Make sure that the AC circuit breaker is in the OFF position. The generator may be difficult to
start if an appliance is connected.
2. Turn the fuel valve lever to the ON position.
3. Move the engine switch to the ON position.
4. Lightly pull the starter grip until resistance is felt, and then pull briskly.
CAUTION: Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return the starter cord
gently to prevent damage to the starter housing.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
In An Emergency
To stop the generator in an emergency, turn the engine switch to the O (OFF) position.
During Normal Use
1. Turn the AC circuit breaker to the OFF position.
2. Turn the engine switch to the O (OFF) position.
3. Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
CONNECTING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
WARNING! Always ground the generator to the earth or to the vehicle.
WARNING! If the generator is supplying two or more loads with power, be sure to first connect the
generator with the higher starting current. Do not move the ground wire during normal maintenance
or repair.
