The logs which are to be split are lifted into the splitting position by means of the lifting
device.
The lifting device must only be used when the machine is attached to the three-point linkage.
Mounting:
▪ Remove the right-hand guard bracket
▪ Screw the pre-assembled lifting device onto the guard bracket bearing.
▪ Assemble the mounting plate for the lifting chain onto the splitting blade.
Set lifting chain:
Lifting arm should move up and down with the splitting blade:
▪ Hook the last chain link of the lifting chain onto the mounting plate.
Lifting arm should stay up:
▪ either pull the lifting arm to the machine by hand (the lifting arm locks into place on the
detent lever) or
▪ hook the penultimate chain link onto the mounting plate (by doing this, the lifting arm
locks into place automatically).
If the lifting arm needs to fall back down again, the safety lever has to be operated and
the lifting arm pressed outwards.
