11.1
Open control panel door (key required). Locate top row of lights on PLC.
11.2
Signal assistant to operate hoist units in the “DOWN” direction of travel.
Observe for the following:
Light “0” will illuminate.
-Lights “4” and “7” will flash on and off.
11.3
Operate units in the “UP” direction of travel. Observe for the following:
Light “1” will illuminate.
Lights “4” and “7” will flash on and off.
11.4
Gain access to the left hoist unit and manually actuate the limit switches.
Listen for an audible click. “UP” limit switch (mounted on vertical plate) will
extinguish light “2.” “DOWN” limit switch (mounted on threaded rod) will extinguish
light “3” when the switch is actuated.
Repeat the same procedures for the right hoist unit.
Refer to light “5” for “UP” limit switch, and light “6” for “DOWN” limit switch.
11.6
If the steps checked correctly for corresponding light and function, go to
Step 7. If the lights did not correspond to the function, turn the unit off, and
disconnect the power at the power supply circuit breaker. Check all field wiring for
proper connections.
Do not
change internal wiring of the motors or control panel.
The wiring logic of each unit was tested at the factory! If the cause cannot be
identified as to why a function does not work, consult the factory.
11.7
Check wires LT1, LT2, and LT3 for proper termination at control panel and at
left hoist unit. The same color or tagged wire must connect the same marked
terminal at each end. Also, check that LT1, LT2, and LT3 are grouped with wires 2,
3, and 4.
11.8
Repeat the same procedures for RT1, RT2, and RT3. Also, check that RT1,
RT2, and RT3 are grouped with wires 5, 6, and 7.
11.9
If all steps checked correctly, operate hoist units a minimum of five (5) times.
NOTE: POWER MUST BE TURNED ON FOR THIS PORTION OF THE TEST:
