Emergency unlocking of charge
port door

If the electrical release mechanism is faulty, the
charge port door can be opened manually:
e
Pull the emergency release strap behind the
left luggage compartment trim in
direction of
arrow .
To have the unlocking mechanism of the charge
port door checked:
e
Visit an authorized Porsche dealer. Porsche
recommends an authorized Porsche dealer, as
they have trained technicians and the neces-
sary parts and tools.
Performing emergency release of
vehicle plug
If the vehicle plug cannot be released with the ve-
hicle key (e.g. if the vehicle key battery is empty),
emergency operation must be carried out.
1. Turn the operating device back to ignition lock
position

The vehicle plug is automatically unlocked and
charging is interrupted for approx. 20
seconds.
2. Pull the vehicle plug from the vehicle charge
port within approx. 20 seconds.
After approx. 20 seconds, the vehicle plug is
locked again and the charging process is
resumed.
