1. Consecutively press down firmly on the rear
part of the hood at each side so that the hinges
(Fig. 72) engage.
2. Lift the rear part of the hood to check that it has
engaged correctly.
3. Have the triggered pedestrian protection sys-
tem replaced.

Visit an authorized Porsche dealer. Porsche
recommends an authorized Porsche dealer, as
they have trained technicians and the neces-
sary parts and tools.
Pedestrian protection system fault
A warning message appears on the instrument
cluster in the event of a fault.
