der to enhance detection. Even with this warning,
the driver may still have to swerve or brake sharply
in order to avoid a collision. The warning time
varies according to the traffic situation and the
driver's behavior.
Animal warning

The animal warning reacts to hazards caused by
large wild animals, e.g. deer, outside of built-up
areas. The animal warning is triggered if an animal
is in the projected driving lane or is dangerously
close. The animal warning is deactivated auto-
matically in urban areas in order to prevent it from
being triggered by on-leash dogs for example.
