WARNING
Failure to detect pres-
sure loss in the tire
A tire pressure sensor that is soiled with tire seal-
ant cannot determine the tire pressure correctly.
e
When the defective tire is changed, have the
tire pressure sensor replaced as well.

supplied sticker from the luggage
compartment.
>
Please see chapter "Luggage compart-
ment" on page 152.
3.

Filling tire sealant
>
Refer to the operating instructions for the tire
sealant.
1.
Shake the filler bottle
A
.
2.
Screw the filler hose
B
onto the filler bottle.
The filler bottle is now open.
3.
Remove the valve cap from the tire valve
F
.
4.
Remove the valve insert
E
from the tire valve
using the valve turner
D
. If a replacement valve
insert is not available, keep the valve insert in a
clean, dry place.
5.
Remove the plug
C
from the filler hose
B
.
6.
Push filler hose onto the tire valve.
7.
Hold the filler bottle higher than the level of the
tire valve and squeeze it forcefully until the
contents of the bottle are completely emptied
into the tire.
8.
Detach the filler hose from the tire valve.
9.
If available, screw the replacement valve insert
or alternatively valve insert
E
with valve turner
D
firmly into the tire valve.
Inflating the tire
>
Read and follow the separate operating in-
structions for the compressor.
>
Please see chapter "Wheels and Tires" on
page 278.
1.
Connect the compressor to a socket in the ve-
hicle and inflate the tire to at least 36 psi
(2.5 bar). If this tire pressure cannot be
reached, the tire is too severely damaged. Do
not continue driving with that tire.
2.
Screw valve cap onto the tire valve
F
.
Checking the pressure
e
Check the tire pressure after driving for ap-
prox. 10 minutes. If the tire pressure is less
than 22 psi (1.5 bar), do not continue driving. If
a value of more than 22 psi (1.5 bar) is indi-
cated, correct the pressure to the prescribed
value.
