Screw the threaded tip of a commercially available impact pull-off device 

alternately into the bore holes and pull the metal ring off evenly

 

 

 

 

5.

 

Part of the sealing ring remains in the crankcase after the metal ring is pulled off. 

 

Removal of the remaining sealing ring 

Damage to the crankshaft/engine block  

Leakage in the engine 

•

 

Do not lever out the remaining sealing ring. 

•

 

The remaining sealing ring must only be removed 
using an impact pull-off device or tapping screws.

Carefully remove drilling chips 

7.

 

Using a (Ø 2 mm (0.08 inches)) bit, carefully drill another two holes (arrows) as 
far into the corners (metal body) of the sealing ring as possible.
