The auxiliary tool C for removing the cover is located
in the socket. Remove this from the square and stow
it there after use.
NOTICE
The cover may be scratched if removed carelessly.
e Exercise care when removing the cover.

3. Carefully lever the cover out of its seating using
the auxiliary tool. To do this, insert the metal
tongue deep into the opening groove A on the
central bolt. Then swivel back the auxiliary tool
more than 90°.
Preparing the vehicle
1. Vehicles with PDK : Activate the transmission
parking lock using the P button on the selector
lever.
– or –
Vehicles with manual transmission : Move the
gear lever to neutral.
2. Activate the electric parking brake.
3. Switch off the ignition.
4. Remove the vehicle key.
5. Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling
away, such as with wedges under the wheels on
the diagonally opposite side.
6. Raise the vehicle only at the specified jacking
points.

7. Raise the vehicle until the wheel lifts fully off the
ground. Do not lower the vehicle until the wheel
has been completely mounted.
