The address book information panel at the bottom of the
Address
Book
screen provides information about the selected entry. In the
example above, Jane Doe’s ViaVideo is set to a line speed of 128
Kbps. Her IP address is displayed (208.10.179.286), and the
Connection type icon indicates that she is on a local area network.
If you select an global entry, the
Delete
icon changes to a
Global
icon, indicating that you cannot delete or edit the entry from the
address book. For more information about local and global address
book entries, see “Local and Global Address Book Entries,” on page
23.
The following table shows actions you can perform on entries in the
address book.

Create a new
entry
1.
Click
New

2.
Enter the entry information, including the
preferred line speed.
3.
Click
Save
.
Edit an entry
1.
Highlight the entry you want to change.
2.
Click
Edit
.
3.
Change any information you wish.
4.
Click
Save
.
Only local entries can be edited in the
address book. Global addresses are
registered in a Global Address Book or ILS
server.
