Summary Checklist of Room Requirements
Review the following checklist prior to the OTX installation. In order to achieve the optimal OTX
telepresence experience, you should answer yes to most of the questions listed.
Ceiling Requirements
Check if Yes
Height
Is ceiling height within the minimum 8 ft (2.43 m) and 14 ft (4.26 m)
range?
If Ceiling Microphone Arrays are used, is ceiling suspended?
If Ceiling Microphone Arrays are used and ceiling is higher than 10
ft (3.1 m), have optional 6-foot (1.8 m) drop cables been ordered?
Color
Is ceiling painted white or a light color that is close to white?
Lighting
If OTX Complete Experience Kit is being installed, has electrician
installed lights?
If OTX Complete Experience Kit is not being installed, are light
levels between 30 and 70 candles (preferably 45 foot candles)?
If OTX Complete Experience Kit is not being installed, is lighting
temperature between 3200K and 4500K (preferably 4100K)?
If room is larger than recommended size, are other lights in room
outside of OTX footprint and camera field of view?
Front Wall Requirements
Check if Yes
Color
Is front wall painted white?
LAN Jacks
Are LAN jacks installed according to recommendations?
Analog Phone
Jack
Is analog phone jack installed according to recommendations?
Microphones
If Ceiling Microphone Arrays are used, has electrician prepared for
their installation?
If tabletop microphones are used, have microphone kits and cables
been ordered?
Power Outlets
Is OTX located in 120V region?
Is OTX located in 220V region?
