HEATING MAIN MONTAGE INSTRUCTIONS CV4.04
12. Place a patch on the heat-shrinkable
tape stitch. Heat it up with weak flame
and press it hard against the tape,
starting from one end.
13. Start shrinking of the tape from the
middle of the tape toward one of the
ends, heating along circumference of
the tape using weak flame. After one
end is tight proceed to the other side of
the tape.
That way there won’t be any air trapped
underneath the tape.
Melt glue is an indication when tape
temperature is sufficient.
It is recommended to perform checks
by pushing tape with finger in a way
that wrinkles are formed, and after
sufficient heating they vanish, forming
smooth surface, then process was
performed well.
14. Additionally, cover connection area with
galvanized tinplate casing and secure it
using galvanized casing straps.
When using PUR foam half casings, montage procedure is following:
1. Complete step 1 in described above montage instruction.
2. Cut PUR casing up to the connection length.
3. Pipe casing ends dry and clean from dust for span length of 200 mm. Insert casings
into the connection. It should fit tightly between preinsulated pipe ends
4. Cut wide heat-shrinkable tape and perform step 9 described above instructions.
5. Heat casing pipe ends with weak propane butane flame up to ~ 60°C.
