HEATING MAIN MONTAGE INSTRUCTIONS CV4.04
4. Place end cap tight on the pipe casing
uniformly
heating
along
the
circumference of the sleeve. Allow for
end cap to cool down before starting on
shrinking the other side of the cap. If
needed, squeeze out air bubbles from
underneath the cap.
To convince that end cap is heated up to
the right temperature, push cap with
finger so wrinkles form and if it is hot
enough then wrinkles will vanish, forming
smooth surface.
End cap should be tightly pressed
against both of the pipes. No air bubbles,
burn, nor peeled off edges should be
seen under the end cap.
Elastic seal is use on pipes when entering
foundation in buildings or when entering
wells. It stops ground water from entering
inside along with the pipe. Allows pipe to
freely move sideways. It is produced from
special rubber type material that is age
resistance.
Montage sequence:
1. Insulated pipe surface should dry and clean.
2. Pull elastic seal onto the pipe casing and place it in a way that it will be directly in
the middle when placed in the foundation or in the wall.
3. Cover both sides around elastic seal of the pipe casing with 2-3 layers of non-
bituminous material. That way separating pipe casing from concrete.
4. Cast in concrete previously made opening in foundation or in the wall.
Note: if pipe diameter DN
≥
400, then it is advised to place two elastic seals on each of the
pipes.
