3.0 Justice Camera Software
3.1 Installing the Software
Place the installation CD into your PC’s CD or DVD drive; the installation program
should run automatically. If not, use the following steps:
• Locate the CD drive in “My Computer”
• Run “JANUS_HD.exe” file from the CD
• Follow the on screen instructions to install the software
• After clicking “Finish Installation”, the viewer program will automatically run
Note: Until you set a user ID and a password (see section 3.6.3) the defaults will be as
shown on the screen. Simply press Enter to proceed.
3.2 How to Play Back Video Recordings
• Remove the SD card from the camera and insert into your PC (a USB SD card adaptor
or card reader may be required if your PC does not have a memory card slot - available
at www.PoliceWitness.com).
• Open the “JANUS_HD” (Viewer) program icon from either the desktop or Start menu.
• The table on the next page explains each of the video controls and icons available to
you.
