Other usage - the birdbath and insects
The birdbath can be used not only by birds, but also
bees, butterflies, bumblebees and other insects.
It is ideal to cover a small part of the birdbath with
fine gravel and sand. If the birds throw the sand
out, insert a few stones into the water to be used as
islands for drowning insects.
Maintenance and cleaning
This is an outdoor product that does not require any
special maintenance. It is necessary to regularly
clean the birdbath and to keep the water in it clean.
In sunny spots the water gets spoiled and evaporates
faster and more algae forms in it, thus we recommend
always placing the birdbath in the shade. We should
inspect and regularly change the water, watching
out for algae and removing any debris that may fall
into it. It is ideal to change the water once a day and
to clean the birdbath with a sponge or brush once
a week in order to remove deposits.
If there is a greater occurrence of algae, it is possible
to clean the birdbath with a solution of water and
vinegar in a ratio of 1:9 (this is a more thorough
cleaning, which we recommend carrying out at
most once a month).
B) on a rail using electrician’s clamps (not included)
After installation, insert a few clean pebbles of an
appropriate size and pour water to just below the
last groove. The grooves on the birdbath and the
pebbles help insects that fall into the water to climb
out again.
Installation and assembly
We can install the birdbath in two ways.
A) on a pole
