Birds and coexistence with people
Birds and people belong together and have lived in
harmony since time immemorial. They are welcome
helpers in gardens and in nature, who feed on
a huge number of insect pests, thereby maintaining
a normal balance of nature.
Thanks to feeding birds in adverse winter conditions
and ensuring sufficient sources of water during
warm months, we help to preserve many bird species.
Why use a birdbath?
In warm months birds need a source of water.
Thanks to a birdbath we can look forward to the
close presence of our feathered friends, while
helping them survive the warm days. Access to
water is very important for birds, especially where
there is no source of water nearby. The opportunity
to bathe, during which they clean their feathers and
rid themselves of parasites, is important for them.
The installation of a birdbath is a welcome solution
for land without a garden pond.
Description
This is an exterior birdbath, which is used to provide
a source of water for birds and insects.
Contents - parts of the
birdbath:
•
bottom (base)
•
birdbath with notches
(the receptacle for
water)
•
bird
Maximum volume of water in birdbath: 970 ml.
Placement
It is best to place the birdbath where there is no
natural source of water. A birdbath provides birds
and especially their young with an important and
safe source of water, which this product fully satisfies.
Ideally place the birdbath in the shade. In direct
sunlight the water quickly goes bad and evaporates.
It is best to place it in open space, where the birds
will have a good view, where a strong wind does not
blow and where there is no danger of being attacked
by a cat, marten or other predator. It is best placed
about 2–3 m from bushes and denser vegetation and
at least 1.5 m above the ground. There may be trees
nearby, since they can provide shelter as well as
a space for drying their feathers after bathing.
