6. Note the power setting for future reference.
7. Optionally, set the alarm value to a few percent lower than the power setting. If the
alarm function is not needed, set the control to "00", or at least a value significantly lower
than the power setting.
Setup and Operation with Hand Held Coil:
1. Ensure that the coil is properly sized and positioned for hand held operation. Please refer
to Figure 3 on page 7, and be sure the cap size falls within the sealing area shown.
2. Press the Timer Set button and adjust for some arbitrary time (such as .5 seconds). Set
the power level at some low value. Center the hand held coil above the container being
sealed, press the start switch on the coil handle, and wait till the timer expires.
3. Remove the container and allow a few seconds for it to cool. Remove the cap and inspect
the seal. The foil must be completely sealed around the lip of the container, without
melting into the lip. Also, the wax must be completely released from the foil.
4. Adjust the power level and sealing time up or down as needed and test a new container.
Repeat with a new container each time until a satisfactory seal is obtained. Note: On
larger size caps, more dwell time is required to get the heat to the center of the foil. This
may mean a lower power setting for a longer period of time.
5. Note the power setting and time for future reference.
