12. Hardware Repair

This section provides instructions on how to remove and replace modules from the Media-Center.

12.1. Top

Cover

12.1.1. Top

Cover

Removal

WARNING:

Disconnect the AC power from the MCP9350i before removing the top cover.

At the rear of the chassis remove the 4 torx screws (1). See Figure 12.1-1.

Slide the top cover towards the rear, until the locking tabs disengage. See Figure 12.1-2.

Lift the top cover straight up and remove it from the chassis.

Store the top cover in a safe place.

Re-Assembly

To re-assemble the top cover, do all processes described in paragraph 12.1.1 in reverse order.

Note:

The torque setting required for the top cover screws (1) is 8kg-cm

Note:

Check the top cover for damage after re-assembly.
