Adding additional functions to a selected program
You may change the selected wash cycle according to your preferences by adding additional functions to
a selected wash cycle. Wash programs are designed in such a way that the best wash results are always achieved
with respect to the type of soiling, degree of soiling and the properties of the washed dishes. Additional
functions were designed to save time, water and power consumption and therefore enable you to wash your
dishes more eff ectively. For example, when the dishes are only lightly soiled, you may select the quick wash
function (12) and the washing process will thus be faster and reduce water consumption.
When using a multi-purpose washing detergent, you will achieve better results by selecting the use tablet
function (10). If the power company off ers cheaper electricity during night time hours, you may select the
extra quiet program (13) and wash dishes more quietly and economically; this function was also developed
to achieve a gentler wash cycle. Additional functions are not available for all programs, you will fi nd the
functions suitable for the individual wash programs in the table below. The respective indicator will not be lit
for functions that are not available for the program that you selected.

In order to add an additional function to a program:
1. Select the respective wash program for your dishes using the up/down buttons (7, 8) after pressing the
select button.
2. Enter the additional functions menu (4) by pressing the select button. After selecting an additional
function using the up/down buttons (7, 8) an indicator of the selected additional function (9-10-11-12-13-
14) will be lit using the confi rm button.
3. Start the dishwasher by pressing the start / pause button. The message "Program Activated" (Program is
started) will appear on the display.
