3.4 SNMP Community String Webpage

Click

SNMP

under the Configuration menu to be directed to the SNMP Community String settings

page.  Phihong’s midspans allow users to change the SNMP Read-Only Community String and
Read-Write Community String.  SNMP community string is a security feature. Only those nodes
sharing the same community strings in a network may participate in a communication exchange.

The maximum length of the community string is 30 characters. When the new community string
is entered, click the

Save

button to allow the midspan to reboot for the new settings.
