This subsection only applies to Cheetah Series systems that are equipped with
3500 Series card(s)/module(s).
10.4.1
System Control Overview
The 3500 Series System Controller is full-featured, microprocessor-based unit that is designed to
interface with various configurations of PESA Switching Systems, Inc. video and audio routing
switchers. The 3500 Series System Controller, working in conjunction with the 3500 Series Control
System software, provides a Graphic User Interface (GUI) that enables users to configure and operate
a routing switcher system from a standard IBM-compatible Personal Computer (PC). Both the 3500
Series System Controller and the 3500 Series Control System software are inherently flexible and
easily configured. The 3500 Series LE has a smaller feature set and is designed for smaller systems.
This subsection addresses the initial user communication setup, the onboard firmware configuration,
and initial settings for the specific Cheetah Series chassis system(s) that will be placed in service.
