Links between Process Data Value and Output Logic of a Switching Output
The process data value of the switching signal can have the status "Active (1)" or "Inactive (0)."
For sensors with switching outputs, this process data value is converted into an output level
depending on the configuration and circuit. Depending on the setting of the output type and the
external circuit of the switching output, the process data value of the "switching signal channel
x" (see menu "Process Data" -> Switching Signal x) for the corresponding switching output can
be assigned different levels. The following table indicates the possible combinations. Further
information regarding the link between the "position of the damping element" and switching
signal are explained in Chapter "Switchpoint Mode."
Setting the Analog Output

In the
Analog Output
section, you can set functions such as range limits, analog output type
(current/voltage), analog output mode, analog output error behavior and current or voltage
limitations for the physical analog output.
