pen Power States
The
pen
has three (3) power states:
Active State
This state occurs when communication between the pen and veu is
established. Place the
pen
in the
veu
and wait for
Pen Tip Indicator
to turn solid green,
and then remove to begin use. The communication indicators
on both the
pen
and the
veu
will illuminate as shown in the diagram below.
Power-Saving State
This state occurs when the
pen
is not in either the
veu
or the
dock
,
but has not been moved or used for 30 seconds. All indicator lights on the
pen
gradually
dim and then turn off, except for the communication indicator
on the
pen
. If the
pen
detects motion, all indicators on the
pen
brighten and the
pen
returns to the
Active State
.
Off State
No indicator lights are illuminated in this state. The
pen
ships from the
manufacturer in the
Off State
. The pen will automatically turn Off if there is no wireless
communication for 30 seconds. For example, if the
pen
is out of wireless range. To turn
the
pen
Off
, press and hold the
menu
Button
until all indicator lights turn
Off
. Once the
pen
is turned
Off
, there is no wireless communication between the
pen
and the
veu
. To
return the
pen
to the
Active State
, place the
pen
in the
veu
and then remove to begin
using.
Notes:
If the
pen
has been turned
Off
, and then placed in the
dock
, the indicator lights on
the
pen
will illuminate. However, communication must be re-established by the
placing the
pen
in the
veu
. The communication indicator
will then illuminate.
The
veu
remains on as long as the power adapter is plugged into a power source.
If the communication indicator
is continuously blinking, the wireless signal between
the
pen
and the
veu
is not optimal (See
Troubleshooting
).
