Machine Constants
1.
The trailing minor flap kicker, in the extended position, is the machine
constant position for the flap scoreline.
a.
When making adjustments to the main machine, erect a blank in the
machine at the setup arm between the flap rail and the long rail.
b.
Extend the trailing flap kicker until the trailing minor flap is closed to
90 degrees. The case scoreline is now on the machine scoreline
constant location.
c.
Next adjust the long rail on the open depth side of the case. Adjust the
rail tight enough against the case to hold the minor flap closed at 90
degrees, but not so tight that the case drags on the rails as it is
transferred.
