the main the tension adjustment.
If the major flaps overlap at the box center causing the tape to bridge the
gap …

Check the box dimensions.
a.
If an overlap is present, contact the manufacturer.
b.
Fold the flaps by hand so they meet.
2.
Check for excessive pressure on the sides of the box.
a.
Release the side guides or belt pressure on the taping machine until the
problem diminishes.
3.
Check for contact or wipe-down roller pressure.
a.
Increase the spring force to improve adhesion.
If the tape over the rear minor flap is not sticking to the case …
1.
Check the tape threading.
2.
Verify the red contact roller "drag" brake is properly working.
a.
It must turn easily, not freely spin.
3.
Verify the contact roller are clean and free from nicks or cuts.
a.
Clean with solvent, if necessary.
4.
Verify the tape is being held to the rollers by static electricity.
a.
Dust the rollers with talcum powder to increase the static hold.
