MP3 File Creation: An
Example
This appendix provides an example for editing sound waves
and generating MP3 files for use with the BAS002 power
amplifier and speakers.
Creating MP3 Signal Files: Overview
The BAS002 power amplifier accepts files in MP3 format
for replay. When creating file, follow these general steps:
Step 1
Define your signal type, e.g. pink noise, white
noise.
Step 2
Define the frequency range of interest.
Step 3
Adapt the signal to the BAS001 speaker output.
Step 4
Compress signal to gain output power.
Step 5
Normalize signal within the MP3 file.
Creating MP3 Signal Files: Example

using Audacity, refer to the specific
manuals, guides, and software help
for the application.
The following MP3 file creation example includes using
Audacity V1.3.13 software, coupled with the LAME MP3
export routine. Both applications can be downloaded from
the internet. Once the software has been downloaded,
installed, and opened, follow these steps.
