Cantinola Touch 2016 operating and maintenance manual
- it is recommendable to have a circular internal section. Squared and rectangular sections must
have rounded corners and their radii cannot be smaller than 20 mm and the maximum ratio of
the sides is 1.5;
-
do not install the appliance on a shared flue
If an existing brick flue is used, it must be ducted using an AISI 316 stainless steel smooth
pipe.
The chimney ends in a pot, which must meet the following requirements:
- the internal section must be equivalent to the flue section;
- the real outlet section cannot be smaller than double the internal section of the flue;
- it must be made so that rain, snow and other objects cannot enter the flue and, in case of
winds from any direction and inclination, the combustion products are discharged;
Note: The installer is responsible for and in charge of the correct realisation of the fume
extraction system, according to the present general instructions. After visiting the building, the
installer can define the most suitable solution to correctly extract the fumes, in full compliance
with applicable regulations and to favour the regular operation of the system.
AIR INTAKE
The installation of the chimney, must be implemented with the external combustion air intake
to build on the outer walls of the place of installation of the boiler.
The combustion air intake must be built in the place of installation of the boiler and as close
as possible to avoid air currents, with a fixed opening large enough to allow the free passage
of air for combustion.
