Chapter 9
Recipes
A recipe is a set of sampling or statistics parameters which can be saved and
recalled to aid in instrument setup. A recipe may be loaded either explicitly by
name, or implicitly by attaching a recipe to a location name, and then setting the
instrument to that location. Tying locations to recipes, allows configuration of the
Lasair II particle counter for use by less experienced personnel. In addition, if
password protection is employed, the user can still select from the list of locations
by means of the Sampling Setup Screen, and load the recipe. However, the user will
be unable to change any other settings.
Recipes are created by saving the current sampling or statistics setup information
into battery backed-up RAM and then assigning the setup an associated recipe
name. Recipes can be saved from the Recipe Setup Screen, or from the sampling or
statistics setup screens.
Recipes can be saved or retrieved from a computer using the Web Server interface.
This interface provides the same recipe load and save features as the front panel,
but it has an extra screen solely for uploading and downloading.
Recipe Database
The recipe database can hold any combination of fifty sample or statistics recipes.
The location database can associate each location name with a recipe. One recipe
can be associated with any number of locations.
Sample Recipe Data
The following is a list of all the parameters saved in a sample recipe:
•
Recipe Name
•
Sample Type
(volume or time)
•
Sample Size
(volume or time)
•
Initial Purge Delay
(seconds)
•
Start by Time Of Day
ON/Off (Overwrites Purge Delay if ON)
•
Inter-Sample Delay (seconds)
