11.6 PR 35 braking characteristics
The braking distance, i.e. the distance from initiating the braking process until the PR 35 comes to a stand-
still, is heavily dependent on factors such as:
> Ground or condition of the road.
> Total weight (vehicle and driver) of the PR 35.

When braking from full speed at approx. 6km/h, your PR 35 has a braking distance of approx. 1
metre! During the braking process from high speeds, especially in the case of downhill travel, the
power wheelchair can lurch from side to side or swerve. For this reason avoid sharp braking!
