Rename a Bluetooth
partnership
You can give a more meaningful name to a Bluetooth partnership to help you recognize it when selecting
from a list of partnerships.
1. On the Home screen, press
[Start]
[All Programs]
,
select
Settings
, press
OK
.
2. Scroll
to
Connections
and press
OK
.
3.
Select
Wireless Manager
and press
OK
4. Select partnership to rename, press
[Menu]
and select
[Properties],
press
OK
.
5. Enter a new
nick
name for the Bluetooth partnership, and press
[
Done
]
.

Turn wireless power on or off
You can turn the power off to your wireless connections in a single location. This is a quick way to preserve
battery power or to prepare your device for an airplane flight.
1.
Press the
Recording
briefly to display the Quick List.
2.
Select
Wireless Manager
and press
OK.
3. Do one of the following:
4. Press the button for a desired wireless connection type (such as Bluetooth or Phone) to turn it off or
on. If it is already turned off, the button is a lighter color and displays an icon marked with an X.
5. Press
All
to turn all wireless power on or off (available only when more than one wireless type exists
on your device).
NOTE:
To change settings for one of the displayed wireless connection types, press
[Menu]
and press the
type of settings you want to change.
Connect to intranet URLs
Some companies use periods in their intranet URLs (for example, intranet.companyname.com). A Work URL
exception tells Internet Explorer Mobile to look on the Work network to find the URL instead of searching the
Internet.
1. On the Home screen, press
[Start]
[All Programs]

Settings
, press
OK
.
2. Scroll
to
Connections
and press
OK
.
3. Press
[Menu]
to select
Advanced
and click
OK
.
4. Press
[Menu]
select
Work URL Exceptions
and press
OK
.
5. Press
[Menu]
then
Add
.
6. In URL Pattern, enter the URL, and press
[Done]
. Separate multiple URLs with a semicolon (;).
NOTE:
You should not create URL exceptions for URLs on the Internet.

When you create the connection, be sure to set the Connects to setting to The Internet.

Connections

[Menu]

Advanced
.
4. In Internet connection, select the connection you want to use and press
[Done]
.
TIP:
After you use the connection once, you may want to change your Internet Connection back to Automatic.
